About Service4Service Limited

Service4Service Limited operates an online comparison platform to connect customers with garages across England. Through our website, you can check prices, availability, and the range of services offered by garages. Please note that when you make a booking, the agreement is exclusively between you and the selected garage.

Definitions and Interpretation

For the purposes of these Terms of Use, the following definitions apply:

Booking – The process whereby a user accesses the website to search for garages, view prices, compare services, and select a preferred garage and appointment time. The booking must then be confirmed directly with the garage via email, phone call, text message, or fax.

Car – A privately owned road vehicle with four wheels, designed to carry passengers and registered as a private light goods vehicle. It must not be used for commercial purposes.

Garage – Any automotive repairer or service provider listed on the website.

Services – Includes, but is not limited to, vehicle servicing, MOT testing, maintenance, repairs, the supply and fitting of parts or accessories, and any related automotive work.

Servicing Schedule – A list of agreed maintenance or service tasks to be carried out by a garage.

Service4Service – Refers to the website operated by Service4Service Limited, also referred to in these Terms as “we,” “us,” or “our.”

Terms of Use – These Terms and Conditions of Use as updated or amended from time to time.

Service4Service Limited – A company registered in England and Wales under company number 03151151 with its registered office at Service4Service Limited, Enterprise House, 23 Parklands, Railton Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 9JX.

Website – Any website or technology platform owned, managed, or operated by Service4Service Limited, including but not limited to service4service.co.uk.

User – Any individual (also referred to as “you”) who visits or uses the website to browse, request, or book services from a garage. Garages themselves are not considered users for the purpose of these Terms.

MOT – Any MOT prices displayed on the website apply only to cars, as defined above. By proceeding with an MOT booking, you agree that the test may be carried out by any authorised MOT centre selected by the chosen garage.

Communications & Booking Process

To complete your booking, you agree to receive updates by email, text, or phone from Service4Service and the selected garage. These communications are necessary to process your booking and confirm the work.

When you submit a booking request via our site:

  • The selected garage receives your booking details and contact information.
  • You’ll receive the garage’s contact details by email. Please check your spam/junk folders and add our email address to your safe list to avoid missing important messages.
  • The garage will then contact you directly to confirm your booking.

Please note: Your booking is not confirmed until you and the garage agree on all details. If the garage cannot fulfil your request, we’ll do our best to help you find an alternative.

Contracts & Payments

Any contract for vehicle services arranged through the website, or agreed with the garage after inspection or repair, is strictly between you and the garage. Payment for all services must be made directly to the garage under its own terms and conditions.

Service4Service may charge garages a marketing or booking fee for services arranged via the platform, but this does not affect the price you pay.

Cancellations & Amendments

Please contact the garage as soon as possible.  Any cancellations or rescheduling made with less than 24hrs written notice to the garage may incur a charge.  Any vehicles not available for collection at the agreed time, may incur a late cancellation fee (this is subject to the garage’s individual terms and conditions.

Liability

Service4Service Limited is not responsible for:

  • Any booking, transaction, or dispute between you and a garage, regardless of how it began (including via our website).
  • The quality, suitability, or completion of any work carried out by a garage.

By continuing to use our website, you agree to release Service4Service Limited from any claims, losses, or liabilities related to your use of our platform or any services delivered by garages.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Accurate Information

All details provided by a User when making a Booking must be accurate and complete to ensure the Website can generate a correct price and the chosen Garage can deliver the required Services for the User’s Car in the specified area.

By using the Website, the User confirms that all information submitted is true, accurate, and not misleading. No false statements or omissions should be made that could mislead or deceive any individual or organisation. Service4Service reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to verify or request verification of any information provided by the User.

Conditions of Use

Service4Service may, at its discretion, restrict access to the Website or cancel a Booking without prior notice or explanation, including (but not limited to) the following circumstances:

  • The User provides incomplete, inaccurate, or false information.
  • The User uses the Website to distribute spam or unsolicited messages.
  • The User misrepresents their identity.
  • The User engages in behaviour intended to manipulate or undermine the integrity of any feedback or review system.
  • The User refuses to accept communications from Service4Service or the selected Garage regarding their Booking.

Website

Provision of the Website

Service4Service provides the Website to allow Users to search for Garages and make a Booking. We act solely as a comparison and booking platform.

  • Service4Service is not a party to any contract between a User and a Garage, nor do we act as an agent for either party.
  • We do not guarantee that a User will successfully complete a Booking via the Website.
  • A Booking does not constitute a contract for a Garage to perform any Services.
  • Prices shown on the Website are indicative only and may not be accurate. The User must confirm the final price directly with the Garage before agreeing to any work.
  • Service4Service does not investigate, verify, or guarantee the nature, suitability, or quality of any Services offered by a Garage, nor do we validate the accuracy of any descriptions, prices, reviews, technical ability, or capacity of any Garage to complete work.
  • Information provided on the Website should not be solely relied upon without confirmation from the Garage.

Reviews and Feedback

By submitting a review, you agree that:

  • We may publish your review and name on our website or affiliated platforms; in a format we determine.
  • Reviews are meant to share genuine experiences to help other users choose a garage.
  • We may edit reviews for clarity or length, provided we do not change the overall meaning.

Please note:

  • We do not verify the accuracy of reviews, which reflect only the opinion of the person who submitted them.
  • Reviews must not include spam, personal data, discriminatory language, or content infringing on any rights.
  • Incentivised reviews (e.g., in exchange for money, gifts, or discounts) are strictly prohibited.
  • Garages and their associates must not post or edit reviews of their own business or competitors.

We reserve the right to remove any review that breaches these rules or raises legal or reputational concerns.

Review Guidelines:

  • Reviews must be written in English and based on genuine experiences from bookings made through the Website, typically within the last three months.
  • Reviews should not include spam, symbols, irrelevant content, or personal data.
  • Do not post content that infringes on intellectual property rights or includes discriminatory, political, religious, or threatening language.
  • Reviews must not be incentivised by money, gifts, discounts, or any form of compensation.
  • Garages and their associates may not post or edit reviews of their own business or competitors.
  • Reviews should not be used to advertise services, promotions, or third-party businesses.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that breach these rules, involve potentially unlawful activity, or fail to reflect an authentic user experience.

Additional Provisions

  • The User is responsible for any transportation, collection, or delivery arrangements (and associated costs) unless otherwise agreed with the Garage as part of their contract.
  • Service4Service may change any element of the Website, including specifications, terms, or rewards, at any time without notice. Updates may be announced on the Website or via email but are not guaranteed.
  • As these Terms may change, Users should review them regularly. Information on the Website is accurate as of its publication date, and Service4Service accepts no obligation to update outdated information.

Warranties and Indemnity

The User is fully responsible for any information provided through the Website. By submitting information, the User warrants that it:

  • Is accurate, complete, and truthful.
  • Is not fraudulent or misleading in any way.
  • Does not infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property rights or privacy.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and statutes.
  • Is free from offensive, obscene, or pornographic material.
  • Does not include viruses, malware, or any harmful code intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or personal information.

The User acknowledges that they have not relied on any representation or statement made by Service4Service and that Service4Service provides no warranties regarding:

  • The results or outcomes from using the Website.
  • The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information obtained via the Website.
  • The uninterrupted, error-free, or timely operation of the Website.
  • The quality, suitability, or delivery of any goods or Services purchased or arranged through the Website.

The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Service4Service, along with its officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, against all claims (including third-party claims), demands, damages, costs (including legal fees), penalties, or actions arising from or related to:

  • The User’s use of the Website.
  • Any dispute between the User and a Garage.
  • Any negligence or failure by a Garage in providing Services.
  • Any loss or damage suffered by the User resulting from the use of the Website or the delivery of Services.

Limitation of Liability

Extent of Liability

The User acknowledges and agrees that Service4Service bears no liability in relation to any Services provided by a Garage. By using the Website, the User releases Service4Service from all claims, demands, or liabilities arising from or connected to:

  • The User’s use of the Website.
  • Any dispute between the User and a Garage.
  • Any act of negligence by a Garage in delivering Services.
  • Any loss or damage incurred by the User in connection with the provision of Services.
  • Any loss or damage resulting from the User’s use of the Website.

Neither Service4Service nor the Website will be liable for any claims, losses, or damages—including indirect, incidental, or consequential losses such as lost revenue, data loss, or service interruptions—arising from:

  • Use of the Website or any part of its functionality.
  • Any dispute or issue between the User and a Garage, including matters relating to Services or payment.
  • The User acting, or failing to act, based on any information or content found on the Website.

The User understands that internet-based services can be subject to instability and outages. The Website may occasionally be unavailable, and Bookings may not process or be accepted. In such cases, Service4Service accepts no responsibility or liability.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites for informational purposes. Service4Service has no control over these external sites and is not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement of the site or its views.

Service4Service provides no warranties or guarantees regarding the performance, availability, or accuracy of the Website. Under no circumstances will Service4Service, its suppliers, or its partners be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, costs, or claims (including loss of profits, revenue, or data) resulting from any defect, error, or interruption related to the Website, its content, or its delivery.

Information and Privacy

User Information and Data Handling

Service4Service will not share any personal information with a Garage until a Booking is confirmed. Once a Booking is made, the details shared will include the User’s name, address, contact number(s), email address, and Car details. This information is provided to the Garage solely for the purpose of identifying the User, confirming the Booking, and completing communication.

If the User does not want the Garage to retain their personal details after the Booking, they must request the Garage to remove this information from their records.

Vehicle registration numbers entered on the Website may also be shared with Garages as part of the Booking process.

Service4Service stores and processes all personal data in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Further details on how we handle your data can be found in our Privacy Policy.

By completing a Booking via the Website, the User agrees to receive reminders and service offers from Service4Service that are tailored to them and their Car.

No Recommendation or Endorsement

Any communication sent to a User by a Garage, including its content, is the sole responsibility of that Garage. Such communications should not be regarded as advice, recommendation, or endorsement by Service4Service, its employees, directors, or any associated party.

The Garage is entirely responsible for ensuring the accuracy, suitability, and legality of any information, offers, or representations included in its communication. If a User requires clarification or additional details, they should contact the Garage directly.

All complaints or enquiries relating to communications from a Garage must be directed to that Garage, as Service4Service does not manage or validate the content of these communications.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use, along with your access to and use of the Website, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any provision of these terms found to be invalid or unenforceable will be removed, without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
