Using your guarantee
If something doesn't feel right after your repair
Using your guarantee is straightforward. Here's what to do if you notice a problem during the guarantee period.
-
Contact us straight away
Report any issue as soon as you notice it – call 0808 164 0418 or send an enquiry.
-
Let us inspect it
We'll arrange for our technicians to look at the vehicle and find the cause.
-
We put it right
If the fault is covered by the guarantee, we'll repair it on parts and labour.
Please contact us before anyone else works on the car. We need a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle first – repairs by a third party before we've inspected it may invalidate the guarantee.

How long is the warranty on a Service4Service gearbox repair?
Every Service4Service automatic gearbox repair and rebuild is guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, on the parts and labour supplied.
What does the gearbox repair warranty cover?
The warranty covers the parts and labour Service4Service supplies for automatic gearbox repairs, rebuilds and replacements. It does not cover the cost of transporting the vehicle, and manufacturer-supplied parts may also carry the manufacturer's own warranty terms.
Do rebuilt or replacement gearboxes come with a warranty?
Yes. Gearbox rebuilds, and replacement units fitted by Service4Service, are backed by the same 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on parts and labour.
Will using an independent gearbox specialist affect my manufacturer's warranty?
Service4Service fits OEM or manufacturer warranty-approved parts – parts made by or for your vehicle's maker – so the work protects your existing manufacturer's warranty.
Can Service4Service help with my extended car warranty claim?
Yes. Tell us at the start who your warranty is with. Service4Service works with major providers including the AA, RAC, Warrantywise and MotorEasy, and can help liaise with them and assist with the claim where the policy and provider allow.
What should I do if I have a problem after my gearbox repair?
Contact Service4Service as soon as you notice the problem and before anyone else works on the car. We need the chance to inspect the vehicle first, as third-party repairs before our inspection may invalidate the warranty.
Does the gearbox warranty transfer if I sell the car?
No. The warranty is personal to the original customer and is not transferable to a new owner.
