1st Start Garage is a small family run business which has been trading for many years, approved by the Government appointed Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA, formerly VOSA) and a proud member of the Good Garage Scheme. We are a very well established MOT and repair garage that undertakes all aspects of garage services from general maintenance to engine conversions across Basildon and the surrounding areas in Essex (Southend, Wickford, Benfleet, Burnt Mills, Canvey Island, Laindon) any vehicle is considered including light commercial.

I changed to this garage as i moved home and was travelling 30 minutes away to my previous mechanic which got a bit much. I was a bot hesitant but really happy that i made the moved to First Start Garage as they are extremely professional, friendly and helpful. They recently have changed a steering rack, steering pump, a turbo pipe and injectors on my van. I cannot be more happy with their service, they are honest and such a great garage. Highly recommend!
Great customer service, able to book me in really quickly for the work that needed doing on my car. Cheapest quote around, although I did end up paying slightly more than what was quoted but never told what this was for.
Have had 3 MOT'S done here this year, no hassles at all, no unnecessary work mis-sold, cheap test price. Recommended.
